Privacy policy

Clear Craft Studio is a Montreal business. This policy explains what personal information we collect on this site, why, how long we keep it and how to use your rights, in line with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email, phone (optional), business name, company size and website (optional), the service you're interested in and your message.
• Booking a call: your name, role (optional), company name and size, email, phone, topic and notes, and the time you picked.
• Quick check: the website address you ask us to check and the result (read from that site's public pages). If you ask for the report by email: your name, email, company and size (optional), and whether you agree to a follow-up.
• Proposals: when you accept a proposal, your name, title, drawn signature, the date and time, a one-way fingerprint of your IP address, your browser and a fingerprint of the accepted document, to prove what was signed.
• Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only receive the payment confirmation.
• Unsubscribe: the email address or website you ask us to remove, and your note if you leave one.
• Technical information: a one-way fingerprint of your IP address (we never store the IP address itself), used to stop form abuse; the campaign code in the link you followed (for example ?c=bp-ca1), so we know which message brought you here.
• Cookie: one session cookie, needed for form security. It is deleted when you close your browser. No analytics, no ad pixels, no third-party trackers.

Why

• To answer your request, hold the call you booked and, if you want one, prepare a quote or proposal.
• To respect your unsubscribe: we keep the removed address or website so we never contact you again.
• To protect the site from spam and to see which campaigns work (totals only).

We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't use it for anything else.

Where and for how long

• Information is kept in private files on our web host's server, outside the public part of the site, and in the internal mailbox that receives the notice of your message. These servers may be outside Quebec (in Canada or the United States).
• Signed proposals and invoices: as long as accounting and contract obligations require (generally 6 years after the contract ends).
• Quick-check reports: 12 months.
• Contact requests and call bookings: 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted (longer if you become a client, for accounting obligations).
• Unsubscribes: kept for as long as we do outreach, so your choice is respected.
• Anti-abuse data (IP fingerprint): 24 hours. Campaign statistics: 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us through the contact form or call 438-334-2244. We answer within 30 days. To stop all messages, use the Unsubscribe page.

If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Privacy incidents

If an incident creates a risk of serious harm, we notify the people affected and the Commission d'accès à l'information, and we keep a register of incidents.
